3rd BISE Forum in Riga (LV), 25-27 October 2006

Representatives of municipalities, national energy agencies and NGO-s from across 17 countries of Central and Eastern Europe and the West-Balkan will attend the 3rd BISE forum in Riga (LV), 25-27 October 2006.
The main theme `Financing Intelligent Energy Projects at Municipalities` will be discussed with participation of leading experts from public and private banks, European and national public administrations, local authorities and the private sector.
As guest of honour, the Commissioner for Energy, Mr. Andris Piebalgs will hold a speech in his home country, introducing European incentives and measures proposed by the European Action Plan for Energy Efficiency to foster local sustainable energy projects.
The three days Forum is supported by the Intelligent Energy Europe Programme and BISE is registered partner in the Sustainable Energy Europe Campaign. The Forum is accompanied by two side events : training for Journalists on Sustainable Energy and the Towards `Class A` Award The Award will recognize the best communication activities carried out by the municipalities participating in the Display® Campaign.
