Citizen and community energy. Transposition guidance for REDII and IEMD

This training workshop organised by by EREF (European Renewables Energies Federation), provides national decision-makers with guidance on how to best create the relevant framework for citizen energy.

It will explore the latest developments as national governments endeavour to put the ambitious Clean Energy Package into law. This event will focus particularly on the game-changing new rules that put communities and citi-zens at the heart of the energy transition. The EU has agreed to the wide-ranging “Clean Energy Package for all Europeans” which includes provisions on citizen’s rights and energy communities. It is currently the task of the Member State governments to transpose these directives, i.e., put them into national law. Every capital received the same directives (namely RED II and IEMD), but we are seeing many different approaches.

Speakers will present the transposition guidance document for Member States and recommendations as well as best practice examples and experiences from early adopters of the REDII and IEMD.
