Abigail joined Energy Cities in June 2023 to support the organisation in the NetZeroCities project and efforts on multi-level governance.
Before moving to Brussels, Abigail formed part of the Maltese civil service, recently within the Ministry for Environment, Energy and Enterprise. Over there, she coordinated Malta’s national position on the Social Climate Fund and supported the Ministry’s agencies and entities to apply for national and EU funding. She was also the engine behind the Seedgreen Program, a pilot accelerator and validator program helping young innovators turn sustainable ideas into reality. Her background is in International Relations and European Public Affairs.
Abigail is driven by impact and finds a lot of inspiration in local communities where everyone pulls the same rope rather than working in silos.
When she is not exploring new quaint towns or bustling cities, Abigail enjoys a good hike, a good book, and discovering new recipes (her favourite are the ones that take less than 30 minutes from start to finish).
