Anke joined Energy Cites in 2022 to work in project management.
Anke has over 15 years’ experience in EU project and programme management and was supporting various stakeholders to get access to European funding in her previous roles. In her last job at INTERREG North-West Europe, she developed, implemented, and monitored European projects in the energy efficiency and renewable energy sector – both in content and finance. She also worked in a German ministry and an association on urban affairs, completing her skills on policy work. Her fields of expertise are cohesion policy and spatial development, European cooperation as well as EU funding mechanisms.
Anke holds a Master’s degree in European spatial planning and a Bachelor’s degree in Regional Science.
She likes to travel, cycle, bake and being in nature. While she loves cities, she regularly escapes to the countryside on the weekends, spending time with her family in her wooden cottage in the wetlands, in the North of France, and going out paddling with her canoe.
