Elina joined Energy Cities in May 2022 as a project manager eager to work on urban energy transition in Europe. She holds a MSc in Urban Planning and previously worked on energy efficiency, smart cities and communities projects on a national and local level in Latvia.
Resilient cities, community empowerment, vibrant, healthy places for all is what Elina is most passioned about. When it comes to accelerating climate-neutrality, she believes in the power of local communities and innovation.
She enjoys her work the most when facilitating connections, enabling participation, and exploring innovative ways to work together, learn, and co-create.
With a proactive, energetic personality, she is drawn to keep learning. In her free time Elina enjoys disconnecting from devices in nature. At the end of a busy day, you can find her playing with her dog and reading books that explore what it means to be human.
