Power Purchase Agreements for renewables have become increasingly common for private companies. More recently, public actors are also using them as an instrument to foster renewable energy deployment. Following the energy price crisis of 2022, the European Commission’s proposal for the revision of the electricity market design is promoting PPAs and makes it possible for Member States to de-risk for such contracts.
On 5th October, Energy Cities organised a webinar to dig into this topic and discuss how municipalities can make the most of PPAs.
