Jürgen Czernohorszky

Executive City Councillor for Climate, Environment, Democracy and Personnel of Vienna

Jürgen Czernohorszky (46) grew up in Vienna and Styria.

He studied sociology and in 2001 became one of the youngest members of the Vienna City Council and Provincial Parliament. 2011–2015 he served as Federal Chairman of Österreichische Kinderfreunde, the largest children and family organization in Austria, before becoming President of the Vienna School Board.

In January 2017 he was appointed Executive City Councillor for Education, Youth, Integration and Personnel. Since 2020, Czernohorszky is responsible for Climate, Environment, Democracy and Personnel.
