Covenant Cities in the Spotlight: And the winners are… [drum roll]
Yesterday, European Commissioner for Climate Action and Energy Miguel Arias Canete announced the winners of the first ever Covenant Cities in the Spotlight awards at the European Week of Regions and Cities. Two of them are members of the Energy Cities network!

Congratulations to these 3 cities that have achieved outstanding progress within the Covenant of Mayors framework. We are particularly proud of our members Sønderborg and Barcelona!
The winners will be part of the EU delegation to the COP24 in Katowice next December, and are invited to take part in the International Conference on Climate Action (ICCA) to take place in May 2019 in Heidelberg, Germany. The ICCA will be held back to back with Energy Cities’ Annual Conference!
