Aleksandra joined Energy Cities in August 2026 to manage projects with a focus on capacity-building.
Aleksandra has more than ten years of experience leading and contributing to EU-funded capacity-building initiatives in the European adult learning and education sector on issues including just green transition and Learning Cities. She is an experienced facilitator and adult educator, initially trained as a language teacher at the University of Warsaw and as a literacy trainer at Lire et Ecrire Belgium. A lifelong learner herself, Aleksandra recently completed an MSc in Urban Studies at Université Libre de Bruxelles and Vrije Universiteit Brussel, where among other topics she explored the empowering dimension of commoning practices such as co-housing and collective reappropriation of vacant urban spaces. In the framework of the degree, she also supported capacity-building projects on the right to the city of Juntas por el Derecho a la Ciudad, a civil society organisation in Córdoba, Argentina.
In her free time, she likes cooking and going to film festivals. An avid reader, she also enjoys visiting bookshops, usually intending to just have a look, with varying degrees of success in sticking to that intention.
