Marmara Urban Forum: Cities developing solutions

Marmara Urban Forum (MARUF) is a biennial international urban forum organized with the motto
of “Cities Developing Solutions” by Marmara Municipalities Union (MMU). MARUF strives not
only to discuss the challenges that cities face but also to seek solutions to them and multiply good
practices at a global scale.

Marmara Municipalities Union (MMU) is the largest regional Local Government Association in Türkiye; leading in areas such as the development of the democratic local government movement in Türkiye, increasing the authority and resources of municipalities, developing environmental awareness in local governments and adopting a sustainable urbanism approach, finding solutions to the common problems of municipalities in cooperation.
