Ayuntamiento de Malgrat de Mar (ES): Malgrat de Mar is a municipality located in the Barcelona’s province coast, just 60 km to the North. Malgrat has an Urban Agenda approved that includes among other strategic projects the objective to become energy neutral in the coming years, with the aim of reaching the goal as soon as possible, the municipality has promoted the creation of an energy community at city level, including different actors from the local landscape in order to reach the most of the population.

CoopTech Hub (PL) is s the first center for platform cooperativism in Poland. Their goal is to create a trust-based community through a digital restart of cooperativism. They act for global collaboration in different sectors and local application of best practices. They provide business and technological support for co-op and sustainable initiatives. CTH offers tech products and services driven by the experience of an interdisciplinary team. Their offer is aimed for: local governments (especially municipalities), cultural institutions, schools, NGOs, individual citizens. CTH has established 2 energy cooperatives and prepared various reports on citizen energy in Poland and Central-Eastern Europe.

E’ Nostra Societa Cooperativa (IT) is the first national cooperative RES electricity producer and supplier in Italy, based on a democratic and inclusive model, and is member of RESCoop.eu. The cooperative was founded in 2014 and in March 2016 started providing sustainable electricity at national scale to households and SMEs, with special tariffs reserved to not for profit organisations. E’nostra aims at enhancing the amount of renewable energy on the global production and consumption and reducing waste of energy, thus contributing to transition to a low carbon energy system.

Energy Cities is the learning community for cities engaged in transforming their economies to become future-proofed. Their strength lies in their extensive network of members who are committed to reach climate neutrality in their territories by 2050 or before, aligning their local strateguc development with the Paris Agreement. Energy Cities’ expertise is built upon more than 30 years of deep exchange between pioneers from all over Europe, innovating to transform the energy systems towards a more democratic, distributed and decarbonised sector.

The Fundació Europace (ES) is a non-profit organization that aims to combat climate change and improve the health and well-being of people by decarbonizing our building stock and promoting of renewable energies. The foundation specializes in the design and implementation of innovative projects. It has extensive experience in EU Projects (Horizon 2020, EUCF, LIFE) for the deployment of programs to promote the renovation and energy efficiency of buildings and renewable energy. They have developed a deep knowledge becoming pioneers in the implementation of one-stop-shop models in Spain that combine technical, administrative and financial assistance and we have collaborated with more than 40 municipalities, regional authorities and key actors, mainly in Spain but also at European level, on the design and deployment of initiatives.

Institut Catala Energia (ES) is the entity of the Government of Catalonia responsible for developing and carrying out the Catalan energy policy, especially in the field of energy efficiency and renewable energies. The mission of the energy policy of the Government of Catalonia is to achieve an economy and a society of low energy intensity and low carbon emission, innovative, competitive and sustainable in line with the European objectives. ICAEN develops programs to promote RES and energy efficiency in all economic sectors: industry, transport, primary and buildings. ICAEN is in charge of buildings Energy Performance Certification in Catalonia and leads the Energy Efficiency Plan of the Catalan Government buildings

Autonoom Provinciebedrijf Kamp (BE) – Kamp C is the knowledge centre for innovation and sustainable building in the Province of Antwerp, whose core mission is ‘to accelerate the transition towards a sustainable society’. Circularity in the building sector, Renovation, Innovation and the Energy Transition are Kamp C’s core motivators. Kamp C works closely together with 69 local authorities, housing associations, as well as public initiatives that support vulnerable citizens. Kamp C supports municipalities with technical and juridical advice concerning construction and environmental matters, scanning buildings, prioritising energy efficiency projects and facilitating the construction phase, but offers also direct and pro bono advice and solutions to citizens in the Province of Antwerp region for sustainable renovation in their homes and neighbourhoods.

Klimaan (BE) is a Renewable Energy Cooperative established in May 2019, dedicated to fostering local renewable energy projects and promoting sustainable living in the Rivierenland region. As a member of REScoop Vlaanderen and of REScoop Europe, Klimaan cvso empowers citizens to invest in and benefit from renewable energy initiatives. Their cooperative model ensures that projects are developed for and by the community, emphasizing local participation and ownership.

The Municipality of Verona (IT) has 254,933 inhabitants and it’s capital of the province of the same name in Veneto. In 2021, the Municipality of Verona approved the Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plan (PAESC), which outlines strategies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 40% within 2030. Following the “Declaration of climate emergency” in 2022, the Municipality, in collaboration with the University of Venice IUAV, developed a Strategic Ecological Transition Plan (PSTE), which identifies needs at the diagnostic, strategic, and implementation levels. Among the key projects is the Masterplan, aimed at covering 100% of the energy consumption of municipal buildings with renewable energy.

Rescoop Eu is the European federation of energy communities. We are a growing network of 1,900 European energy cooperatives and their 1,250,000 citizens who are active in the energy transition. Through REScoop.eu, energy cooperatives wish to make their voices heard in the European energy debate. REScoop.eu empowers citizens and cooperatives and wants to achieve energy democracy.

City of Warsaw (PL), with over 2 million residents and a rapidly expanding metropolitan area, the city faces significant governance challenges in harmonizing policies, aligning regional planning strategies, and integrating sustainability objectives across different administrative levels. The city has extensive experience in EU-funded sustainability initiatives, particularly in climate governance, energy transitions, and smart urban management, making it an ideal pilot city to develop and test multi-level governance models that can be replicated across other European regions.

ZuidtrAnt (BE) is an energy cooperative founded in 2016 and has built expertise in renewable energy projects, renovation guidance, shared e-mobility, participation processes involving energy and heating network. The Flemish energy cooperative ZuidtrAnt wishes to grow as a company while maintaining the values of a social enterprise. ZuidtrAnt has over 1200 members and has built up a portfolio in renewable energy projects, fossil free district heating, collective renovation guidance, e-car sharing, energy saving projects in schools, energy sharing within local municipalities, We are participating in SeaCoop CVSO, a national citizen led initiative aiming to develop offshore wind energy projects in the future.
