And please do not forget: the Espresso is part of the broader LIFE LOOP Community Energy Accreditation Scheme. It’s a great opportunity for municipalities to see where they stand and to advance on that topic through institutional and individual skills-building.

The new language versions were actually made possible thanks to the great work a fantastic team of national partners, including Electra Energy and Cooperative de Energia. Last May, Energy Cities gathered 9 of them for an Espresso “train-the-trainers” in Sofia, Bulgaria. During a two-days workshop, people working in city or energy agency networks, NGOs and cooperatives learned about the instructional design behind the Espresso training. They heard from previous trainers like LIFE LOOP partners Sara Gollesi from Enostra in Italy or learners like the municipal energy manager Todor Popov from Gabrovo (Bulgaria) about how much people appreciate learning about community energy in their native language.
