Fair economiesThe Fast and Fair Principles for Renewables & Grids present a solution for this; these baseline principles constitute the first European consensus on fairness between key sectors and offer the involved stakeholders and municipalities a framework for facilitating projects that are perceived as fair for all. The principles cover a range of factors, such as stakeholder participation in planning, nature positivity, transparency, and creating local value through local projects. Developed in collaboration with stakeholders from civil society, local government, commercial and non-profit industry, and informed by the experiences of municipalities in multiple countries, the principles are truly a game changer credibly uniting sectors behind the common goal of achieving a fast and fair deployment of renewables and grids.
