EUSEW 2025: How a multilevel collaboration can drive clean energy action in cities

This session addresses financial barriers in cities’ energy transitions, highlighting the role of EU instruments like the European City Facility and the EU Energy Communities Facility, and the opportunities they offer for cities and other local actors, such as energy communities.

With the participation of European and local representatives, the session will discuss how we can jointly succeed through stakeholder contributions from various governance levels, financial institutions, and support facilities.

This session aims to foster dialogue between cities, EUCF national hubs, financial experts, and EU policymakers, providing actionable insights for accelerating the financing of energy and climate local initiatives.

Event organised in the framework of EUSEW, The European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) is the biggest annual event dedicated to renewables and efficient energy use in Europe. It is organised by the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) and the Directorate-General for Energy.
