Healthy Cities of the Czech Republic

The Association of Healthy Cities of the Czech Republic (HCCZ) is certified by the World Health Organization (WHO) as a quality implementation platform for the WHO Healthy City Program in the Czech Republic. Nationwide networking enables HCCZ members to share experiences and good practice in a variety of areas of development. Involvement in HCCZ brings the possibility of international cooperation throughout Europe.

Membership in HCCZ Association is open to all types of municipalities and legal entities formed by municipalities. City, city districts, municipalities, regions, micro-regions and LAGs can thus become a member of the association. The following are details of individual membership forms.

Healthy Cities, Municipalities and Regions use tools for sustainable development and quality of life – such as the LA21 method, public participation and participation procedures, the Smart Cities program, quality management methods and procedures, actions to engage the younger generation, but also the activation of seniors and many more. The choice of the instrument is according to local conditions, especially on the basis of the so-called Sustainable Audit. HCCZ is available with its know-how and experts to help its members succeed.
