“The Amiens Métropole urban community is a French urban community, located in the Somme department and the Hauts-de-France region.

From the outset, the urban community has exercised a large number of competences: the compulsory competences for all urban communities: economic development, housing, urban planning (including transport) and urban policy, but also all the optional competences provided for by law: roads, sanitation, water, environment, cultural and sports facilities. It also assumes important optional skills: household waste collection, training policy, creation and management of a crematorium, development of information technologies and local mission.

In 2019,The urban community has 39 communities.”
