Marta speaks Italian, English, Spanish


Marta joined Energy Cities in October 2021 being in charge of Community Development and Communications. She holds a Master’s degree in Development and International Relations – Latin American Studies at Aalborg University (Denmark). With several years of experience working in international umbrella organizations, she has gained a broad expertise ranging from project management, knowledge dissemination, communications and capacity building to advocacy, international events management and network creation, shaping strategic alliances with diverse international, national and local stakeholders.

She has worked as a joint researcher for the Latin American Center for Rural Development (Rimisp) and as area coordinator for the Latin America and the Caribbean Office in Slow Food International, creating bridges between Europe and Latin America in the field of territorial development, biodiversity preservation, sustainable and healthy agri-food systems. In 2020, after living between Europe and Latin America for several years, she moved to Brussels, working for the European Association for Local Democracy (ALDA) as Project Manager with a focus on environment, climate action and food sustainability acquiring specific competences in EU project management.
