Embark on a journey towards climate neutrality with the EU-funded project EUCityCalc!  

The project’s mission is to support cities in developing and implementing scientifically robust integrated transition pathways to decarbonize energy-consuming sectors. 

Through the innovative EU City Calculator, cities like Riga, Dijon Métropole, Mantova, Zdar, Palmela, Sesimbra, Setubal, Koprivnica, Varazdin, Virovitica are equipped with a user-friendly web interface to explore and model low-carbon scenarios. This Calculator helps you to make informed decisions and visualise the impact of policy choices on climate and energy strategies. 

From 26 February, a free learning programme is available to help your city to make the most of the webtool. The two courses cover from mastering the EU City Calculator, to organising and running multi-stakeholder dialogues, as well as learning more about the importance for local authorities of being involved in the national policy process. In addition to the English version, from 11 March the course will be available also in French, and Italian. The Czech version will be out soon as well. 

Moreover, the training includes in-person workshops hosted in June in the countries involved in the project: Portugal, France, Italy, Croatia, Czech Republic, and Latvia.  

By the end, you’ll be ready to use the EU City Calculator to craft locally-owned transition roadmaps.
