9,700 European local governments, 47% less CO2 emissions by 2030

As part of the European Covenant of Mayors movement, cities and towns are taking energy and climate action to secure a better future for their citizens.

With an average CO2 emission reduction target of 47% by 2030, Covenant signatories show the ambition to go beyond the EU’s objectives.

As co-leader of the Covenant of Mayors – Europe Office, Energy Cities accompanies over 9,700 local governments to achieve their targets.
