Since the early days of JPI Urban Europe, local initiatives, civil society organisations and change makers experimenting with novel approaches and ideas have been part of JPI Urban Europe’s community. Especially the SEiSMiCproject (2013-2016 – funded by the European Commission) provided a framework to allow for vivid exchange, synthesis of knowledge and transdisciplinary discussions. JPI Urban Europe is now preparing its programme for the years 2021 to 2027 with the ambition to build upon these experiences and strongly involve and support all urban actors. This is why we are reaching out to you to exchange on potentials and barriers for local community initiatives to engage in and benefit from research and innovation. You are invited to join the discussions on how we can strengthen the cooperation of your initiatives and research and tap the full potential of local experimentation
