Objective
The objective of this study tour is to provide a unique opportunity to gain practical insights on renovation of large residential housing districts.
Organized by the SHAPE-EU project and hosted by the Estonian Union of Co-operative Housing Associations, this study visit focuses on learning about the renovation of large housing estate districts, new renovation solutions and exploring the Mustamäe district in Tallinn as a good practice example.
Target group / Eligibility
- Employees of SMEs, representatives and/or elected representatives of local authorities,
- representatives of social or affordable housing providers.
- Participants’ organisations should be based in Single Market Programme (SMP) countries
- Participants should be planning or implementing a renovation project at district level
Programme
The one-day study tour includes:
- A visit to renovated multi-apartment buildings with Visits to the Mustamäe District : to
- renovated multi-appartment buildings and to the administration
- Meetings with Local Industrial Partnership (LIP) members behind the renovation :
- architects, designers, managers, technical consultants, and representatives of the
- companies who participated in the renovation of the building.
- Visit to the TalTech – Tallinn University of Technology – to meet the researchers and to
- get to know the new solutions developed for the renovation of large housing estates in
- post-soviet countries.
A more detailed programme will be provided for selected participants.
Travel / Accomodation
Travel and accommodation fees can be reimbursed up to 500 EUR/person based on
supporting documents.
A list of hotels will be sent along with the definitive programme.
