Energy Cities is launching a new Community of Practice to discuss one important urban challenge: keeping our cities cool. With the climate crisis intensifying, demand for cooling solutions is on the rise, and urban areas need to act now to create livable environments for everyone while phase-out the use of fossil fuel energy.

This initiative offers city staff a platform to discuss, exchange ideas, and collaborate on effective cooling strategies, especially for the built environment. It’s an opportunity to share your experiences, learn from others, and become part of a growing network of cities working to cool their built environment.

The sessions are designed to be interactive and practical. Held online and in English, they are tailored for city staff who are eager to explore innovative solutions and exchange best practices.

Don’t miss out the first session!

We will discuss the challenges and explore the state of play at EU level. The session will be a first opportunity to exchange on solutions to decarbonise cooling solutions. We are thrilled to welcome Victoria Liénard Policy Advisor at Euro Heat & Power, who will present solutions such as district cooling. The session will also showcase best practice from cities involved in the Covenant of Mayors.

Register here to join the conversation!

Stay tuned for our second session, where we will dive into inspiring city examples and explore nature-based solutions.
