Energy Cities is coordinating a Community of Practice to discuss one important urban challenge: keeping our cities cool. With the climate crisis intensifying, demand for cooling solutions is on the rise, and urban areas need to act now to create livable environments for everyone while phase-out the use of fossil fuel energy.

This initiative offers city staff a platform to discuss, exchange ideas, and collaborate on effective cooling strategies, especially for the built environment. It’s an opportunity to share your experiences, learn from others, and become part of a growing network of cities working to cool their built environment.

The sessions are designed to be interactive and practical. Held online and in English, they are tailored for city staff who are eager to explore innovative solutions and exchange best practices.

Don’t miss out the next session!

We will discuss the need for cooling planning at municipal level with one concrete example from Spain. We will then focus on the role of heat pumps for sustainable cooling, along with other solutions.

We are thrilled to welcome:

  • Isabela Leon  –  Project Manager at Ecodes (Spain)
  • Albert Blasco – Panasonic Heating and Cooling Solutions Europe, Head of Marketing Europe (Member of the European Heat Pump Association)
  • Nicolas Raimondi – Policy on Heating and cooling at Energy Cities
