High-level political session
Scotland House, Rond-Point Robert Schuman 6, 1040 Brussels

As part of the European Union’s 2030 climate and energy package, EU member states are required to develop national energy and climate strategies to plan and to report on their 2030 climate and energy objectives (NECPs). These plans should be ready by the end of this year. The much-awaited European Green deal communication of new EU Commission president Ursula von der Leyen is expected to be published on the 11th December.
We are delighted to invite you to join us to discuss the progress towards the EU’s mid-and long-term climate and energy objectives, and to take stock of the NECP preparation across the EU countries. This high-level political conference will explore the state of play, current and future challenges and the role of the European Green Deal in driving the implementation of the NECPs.

22 January – 10.30 – 14.30
Working groups & Project marketplace sessions

On day 2 of the LIFE PlanUp mid-term project conference, we will discuss the role of local and regional authorities and civil society organizations in the NECPs, as well as provide a “project marketplace” where representatives from other EU funded projects will share the results and experiences of their projects, and explore synergies with the LIFE PlanUp platform.
