Preparing local authorities for the green transition

The Local Transitions Learning Centre is an open-access platform offering free courses designed to help our members and partners tackle urgent urban challenges related to the energy and climate crises. We want to connect peers and experts, to share useful tools, knowledge and practical experience.

Our learning offer is designed with cities, for cities. Grounded in knowledge generated in real projects and initiatives, we offer you a rich experience mixing active and passive learning methods to meet your preferences. This includes:

• Online, self-paced, and live courses

• Information about upcoming in-person workshops and summer/winter schools.

Our e-learning opportunities are structured into four clusters, aligned with our HUBs, addressing strategic issues of energy and climate transitions: governance, fossil-free districts, community energy, and resource-wise economies.

We believe a just green transition can only succeed if communities are connected, learning from each other, and testing new methodologies and tools. While Energy Cities’ members have priority access, our learning offer is open to everyone, whether you’re an elected representative, municipal officer, or working in a municipal energy or climate-related agency, consultancy, or network.
