Energy Cities’ training offer is constantly evolving. As we want the community energy movement to be active all around Europe, we want to make sure municipal employees do have the skills for it. That is why our Espresso training is now available in several other languages. Throughout the next months and thanks to a nice mix of passive and active learning, civil servants will be able to delve into the beauty of energy communities and the powerful role municipalities can play in it.

You now have the choice to complete some modules in English or in your national language to learn about essentials for community-driven energy like:
No matter the language you choose, the training remains free of charge and you can follow the course and do the tests whenever time allows. Upon completion, you will receive a certificate to showcase your new skills.
The new language versions were actually made possible thanks to the great work a fantastic team of national partners. Last May, Energy Cities gathered 9 of them for an Espresso “train-the-trainers” in Sofia, Bulgaria. During a two-days workshop, people working in city or energy agency networks, NGOs and cooperatives learned about the instructional design behind the Espresso training. They heard from previous trainers like Enostra in Italy or learners like the municipal energy manager Todor Popov Gabrovo (Bulgaria) about how much people appreciate learning about community energy in their native language. This train-the-trainers has received co-funding from the European Climate Foundation.
