Community energyAs Europe faces an energy crisis due to our dependency on fossil fuels, finding sustainable solutions that put local authorities and citizens at the heart of the energy system is needed now more than ever. The urgently needed switch to renewables must also happen at local level. Renewable energy communities are a way for local communities to have control on the origin, distribution and price of their energy.
The event will bring together different local and European perspectives on energy communities, discuss the role of local authorities and governments, raising awareness on their benefits while also highlighting the remaining challenges and how we can overcome them together.
