Fossil-free citiesAcross Europe, local authorities are currently developing and rolling out heating and cooling (H&C) plans under the revised Energy Efficiency Directive. This workshop will highlight how these requirements are being translated into practice, drawing on real-life experiences from municipalities, regional agencies, and policy experts across different national and climatic contexts.
Participants will gain insights into the main challenges faced by local authorities; particularly smaller municipalities, as well as the tools, frameworks, and support mechanisms available to turn regulatory obligations into actionable local strategies.
