EU Peers Transnational Community Winter Meeting: One-Stop-Shops in support of energy poor households

The EU Peers Transnational Community is back!

Meet us on the 4th of February for a new seasonal appointment. We will talk about energy poverty and the role that One-stop shops (OSSs) can play to alleviate it and support the renovation of energy-poor households.

Energy poverty in households is a prominent reality that we can no longer ignore. Energy-poor households struggle to heat or cool their homes or to pay their energy bills.

An increasing number of OSSs is tailoring their activities towards this specific target group. In this Winter meeting of the EU Peers Transnational Community, we will interact with 2 European One-Stop Shops, REVERTER and EcoVision, supporting energy-poor households in renovating their buildings or apartments.

Before listening to them, however, we believe it’s crucial to start with the basics: what is energy poverty? What can be done? How?

To answer these questions, we invited the Energy Poverty Advisory Hub to kick-off the meeting and share with us some key insights and knowledge on the causes of energy poverty and how we can fight them.

But let’s not stop there! How can we be 100% sure that OSSs actually address the needs of energy poor households? We invited the Association ‘Stop à l’exclusion énergétique’ to help us bring these needs to the table and support our OSSs in improving their services towards energy poor households.
