European Commission’s calls for proposals for the Horizon EU and LIFE CET programmes are now open.

FOR OUR MEMBERS ONLY

On 14 May 2024 from 15:00-17:30, we will hold an online information session reserved for our members to present the European Commission’s calls for proposals.

What are these funding opportunities?

During the information session, we will present you with two funding opportunities: (1) The Horizon EU and (2) the LIFE CET (Clean Energy Transition) calls for proposals.

Horizon EU is a research and innovation funding programme that will run until 2027. The LIFE Clean Energy Transition is an EU sub-programme that aims at facilitating the transition towards an energy-efficient, renewable energy-based, climate-neutral and -resilient economy by funding coordination and support actions across Europe. It will also run until 2027.

Why should I attend the information session?

Before the session, you are invited to share a project idea. This is an opportunity for you to coordinate a project proposal and to join forces with other Energy Cities members. By sharing an idea, you will

  • Test it with other cities and discuss its feasibility
  • Understand if your it can be funded by the current funding opportunities
  • Build a stronger partnership and access funding opportunities to develop and implement your project
  • Match your ideas with other members and partners
  • Engage with other cities, NGOs, research institutions… and benefit from their expertise
  • Increase your capacity to tackle environmental challenges.
  • Improve your citizens’ quality of life in the long term

After the information session, you will be able to present your idea to potential partners during the matchmaking sessions.

You are welcome to attend the information session even if you don’t submit a project idea.

Submission of your project idea or registration is possible until 13 May 2024, 17:30.

To complete your registration, please refer to the email you received on 22 April.
