Local governanceLocal authorities and networks from Turkey and the EU are coming together on 12th -13th November 2020 at “International Town Twinning Summit – TWINT Online” for developing new cooperation within the scope of the “Town Twinning between Turkey and the EU Project (TWIN)”.
At the International Town Twinning Summit – TWINT Online to be organized under the theme of “Sustainable Town Twinning”, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Directorate for EU Affairs, Union of Municipalities of Turkey, Union of Provinces, Ministry of Environment and Urbanisation Directorate General for Local Authorities, associations of local authorities from the EU, local authorities from Turkey and the EU, international networks of cities, NGOs and universities are coming together.
The Summit aims at developing effective, result-oriented and
sustainable cooperation mechanisms between local authorities and
contributing to urbanization in line with sustainable development goals
in Town Twinning activities.
“International Town Twinning Summit – TWINT Online” is organized within
the scope of the “Town Twinning between Turkey and EU (TWIN) Project”
which is co-financed by the European Union (EU) and Republic of Turkey
under the Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance (IPA II).
