Ahead of the EPBD revision, 45 civil society actors including Energy Cities have signed an open letter to urge the Commission to deliver on its commitments in the Renovation Wave to tackle energy poverty.

The letter outlines the co-benefits of deep renovation programmes to alleviate energy poverty, cut carbon emissions and provide good quality jobs. It also offers 7 recommendations on how to prioritise energy poor households in the EPBD including introducing Minimum Energy Performance Standards with social safeguards.
