Do you want to support your citizens’ energy projects? Do you wish to start your own energy community? Are you looking into financing options for your RES project or information on the legal context? We have just released a new toolkit to guide you in this process.

The toolkit includes:

  • A step-by-step methodology guide on citizen engagement
  • A guide to develop city-citizens renewable energy partnerships
  • A financing guide for energy communities
  • A short guide for banks
  • A set of policy recommendations
  • A guide to make community energy projects more inclusive (upcoming)

It was developed together with a likeminded group of organisations, municipalities, and energy cooperatives with the aim of fostering the creation of more community energy projects in Europe. The toolkit builds on the experience of 5 pilots in Belgium, Croatia, Greece, France and The Netherlands who, In the framework of the EU funded project SCCALE 20 30 50, have been supported to develop their renewable energy projects.

A European helpdesk is also available for on demand support. You can fill in this form to be put in touch with an expert.
