Would you like to know whether a new policy proposal on public transport will help reduce GHG emissions in your city?
Would you need to compare the impact of different green measures to give priority to the most efficient ones?
Join the free EUCityCalc learning programme to ground your city’s transition pathway on insightful and clear visualisations of low-carbon scenarios. Populated with your city’s real data, as well as some key socio-demographic trends, the European City Calculator modeling tool helps you make informed decisions and visualise the impact of policy choices on climate and energy strategies.
The programme consists of two courses that require two-hour time investment each. No previous knowledge of data visualisation tools or management is required.
Adopting an active learning approach, traditional lessons are mixed with interactive activities, individual work, and teamwork. You will receive a certificate once all the activities are completed and you successfully pass the knowledge tests.

The second one about how to #2 Master the link between policies, data and low carbon scenarios will soon be available in English. By completing this course, you will be able to:
By attending both courses you will progressively get familiar with modeling tools and discover how to master the EU City Calculator to design locally owned transition pathways. You will be able to autonomously upload your city’s data and use it to engage local stakeholders and support your decision-making processes. Enroll today!

The EU City Calculator is a free and open-source webtool designed with and by cities within the framework of the Horizon-funded project EUCityCalc. This initiative brought together eleven European partner organisations across eight different countries (Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Latvia, Portugal), was coordinated by Energy Cities, and concluded in 2024.
The webtool has been tested in 10 European pilot cities of varying sizes and socio-economic conditions that played a key role in simplifying the data input process and improving the user experience. Now, SPARKLE provides tutorship for the EUCityCalc learning programme.
