Local governance The European Commission’s Directorate-General for Energy, Directorate-General for Climate Action and the Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (EASME) are jointly organising the 2021 edition of the Covenant of Mayors Investment Forum – Energy Efficiency Finance Market Place, which will take place online on 15 and 16 June 2021.
More than 600 representatives from local authorities, industry and financial institutions participated in the last forum in 2020 and learnt from the experiences of a total of 44 front-runner projects and initiatives on financing energy efficiency and climate adaptation solutions. The forum achieved its core objective to inspire cities and regions to replicate, upscale and support their local contributions to Europe’s decarbonisation and climate-resilience.
Building on the success from the last forum, this year’s edition will include plenary sessions with high-level representatives from the Covenant of Mayors initiative, the investment community and the European Commission. It will also continue to showcase successful projects on financing energy efficiency, climate adaptation, clean mobility and innovative energy planning.
