Local organisations can receive €22,000 to support the Green Deal

Apply to get funds for your #GreenDeal initiative by 31 January

Local authorities, their local agencies and utilities as well as not-for-profit organisations have the opportunity to apply for €22,000 to become local partners of the European project SHARED GREEN DEAL. Partnerships are offered on six different European Green Deal topics: Clean Energy, Circular Economy, Preserving Biodiversity, Sustainable Mobility, Efficient Renovations and Sustainable Food.

Utilising diverse participatory approaches to involve local stakeholders and citizens, a total of 24 organisations will have the chance to conduct funded local experiments that will address the behavioural, social and cultural dimensions of the European Green Deal and receive the funding. These ‘social’ experiments aim to facilitate and learn from change processes at both individual and collective levels whilst collecting research data in the process.

The organisations chosen as local partners will have the opportunity to contribute to the local implementation of the GREEN DEAL priorities, create and strengthen relationships with your community and local institutions while benefiting from the learning outcomes that can be adopted as part of the local stakeholders’ own processes.

SHARED GREEN DEAL, a project benefitting from expertise in Humanities and Social Science, will provide financial support of up to €22 000 to run each local social experiment for one year from spring/summer 2023. In addition to funding, an additional training event with SHARED GREEN DEAL partners in locations ranging from Rotterdam to Cyprus, and a study visit to another local partner, is covered by the project.

The experiments have specific objectives according to each of the six streams covered and the deadline to apply is 31 January 2023.

Learn more about the topics, the application process and the specific opportunities and requirements at the SHARED GREEN DEAL website. The opportunity is funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme.
