Terra Madre-Salone del Gusto, since 1996, gathers thousands of people (small scale producers, cooks, civil society organisations, local, regional and national governments representatives, youth organisations, activists and so on) from more than 100 countries. The main aim is to bring together different views with the long-term ambition to co-define a common agenda towards the integration of food system transformation and urban transformations, in line with the Sustainable food system framework at EU level that will be reviewed by 2024.
This year the event will focus on REGENERATION:
The pandemic has changed the way we live, and has damaged all sorts of relationships; between people, between communities. The crises we were facing before Covid-19 have only gotten worse, in particular regarding social equity and inequality. And they’re made even more complex by the international geopolitical situation.
Slow Food International
For the first time, Slow Food will dedicate a specific space to food policies, with the FOOD POLICY AREA, entirely dedicated to this subject and its protagonists.
In the framework of the Hub on future-proof food systems and land policies, Energy Cities will actively join the event, organizing a workshop about the role of food in urban transformation and interesting side activities dedicated to its members and a meeting dedicated to all the interested cities and partners!
