A metropolis like Nantes should not consider itself to be in permanent competition with Lyon, Lille, Turin (...) for the title of the ‘Most Trendy City’. We must accept our ecological limits, find political objectives that contribute to the happiness of all, and turn to the surrounding and rural areas to invent alternative economic and urban development models.
